I know that version 7 software wont work on the newer boards, which is a bit of a pain but understandable. But it seems that documents created on version 7 won't open on version 8 and vice versa. This is a big problem for us as we have about 30 of the older boards and have recently bought 11 of the new duo boards, so teachers that move between classrooms are having to double up their work. Is this the way it's got to be or am I missing something?

Thank you for your posting.
Sorry for the late reply.

You can open documents created on version 7 on version 8 software but cannot open documents saved on version8 on version 7.
If you cannot open the documents on version 8, it may not associate the document file with StarBoard software.
Could you try the following procedure?

-launch StarBoard Software version 8.
-press yellow StarBoard button on the tool bar
-go to Document -> Document... and then select "All files" in the window
-select the document file you want to open on version 8

I hope it helps.
Thank you.
