The university I work at, recently purchased a number of Hitachi Starboards. I work in Teacher Education, and we have a Promethian Board, Smart Board, and Eno Click 2580. Will the interactive programs that work with those boards work with the Hitachi Starboard?

What about programs off of prometheanplanet.com? Will they work with the starboard?

Hi jlb,
Are you referring to using the actual program with the Starboard or using lessons from those progrmas with Starboard Software? Either way you should be able to "use" them. You can always call in the Hitachi Starboard Support line for help on these questions.

1-800-448-2244 Option 5 for Starboard Support.

I'm referring to using them as interactive material. Will I be able to use them in an interactive format?

jlb,
Yes this is possible. However there involves a little bit of configuration. First you have to make sure you download the Common File Format from the Plug-ins website. This can be accessed from the Starboard Software under the Settings menu and then Plug-ins. This will allow you to view and save Starboard files into the common file format (.iwb). The lessons you would like to use from the other software programs would have to be saved or exported as this type of file to be able to be imported into Starboard. You can then edit these files as you like and save them as Starboard files (.yar) to continue to use them with the Starboard Software. If you have any questions you can always call the Starboard tech support dept for any questions or help you may need.
